The Akabeko (Red Cow) is the mascot of the Fukushima prefecture.
I drew my newest picture for my boyfriend. He lives in Minamisoma, which is on the Fukushima coast, is within the evacuation zone of the Fukushima Power Plant No. 1, and for now, he is safe.
Over 1,800 homes were destroyed in Minamisoma and it's my other home, a central location to many important people right. The distance right now is killing me-- I need to hold my forever person but all I can offer up right now is an image of strength- for him, for my friends, and everyone I don't have the pleasure of knowing.
